TWAP is raffling off over $250 worth of items from the Waverly Farmers Market

Team With A Purpose will be raffling off a gift basket this weekend at the Waverly Farmers Market. This basket will be filled with a variety of goods and gift certificates from the vendors of the Waverly Farmers Market and will have an estimated value of $263! A list of items in the gift basket can be found in the image below.

There will be two raffles. Both raffles will be for identical gift baskets. The drawings will be held at the end of the Farmer's Market at noon on Saturday, May 1 and Saturday, May 8!

Tickets will be $3.00 for one ticket or $20 for ten tickets! To purchase your raffle tickets just contact a member of TWAP! You can always email Pete at jpetec@gmail.com too.

TWAP taking orders for your favorite baked goods!

Do you find yourself craving some Spice Cake with Almond Icing? Maybe some Cranberry, Pistachio Biscotti or maybe some Pumpkin Bread with(or without) walnuts? Team With A Purpose may have found a location for our second location, but if you can't make it to the Station North Flea Market this Saturday than what can you do? You can place an order for your favorite baked goods from the TWAP Bake Sales!

Below, you will find what you can order. Just send your request to Pete or Will and we'll contact you about how to get your baked goods to you!

TWAP's first bake sale of the season and LAST bake sale at the Waverly Farmers Market

On behalf of the members of Team With A Purpose I would like to thank you for your support at our annual bake sales over the last couple of years, which have raised thousands of dollars for Moveable Feast. We had a good run! But due to circumstances beyond our control, TWAP will no longer be allowed to hold bake sales at Waverly Farmers Market. This Saturday,TOMORROW, will be our final TWAP bake sale at the 32nd Street Farmers Market in Waverly.

Some TWAP members may be returning to the market on May 1 and 8 to distribute literature, and maybe hold a raffle, but we are also looking for other venues willing to host bake sales on these days. Keep an eye out for future announcements - we're still hoping to hold bakes sales on May 1 and 8 at different locations in Baltimore!

Also, you will be happy to know that many of your favorite baked goods will also be available for ordering. Order forms will be available at this Saturday's market and will be posted on our blog, and personal delivery can usually be arranged.

We really appreciate all your support and hope to see you this weekend in Waverly (and perhaps somewhere else over the next two weekends).

The Return of the TWAP Bake Sales at Waverly Farmers Markets!

Team With A Purpose ("We're Full Of It!") Bake Sales are back! 3 Saturdays only! April 24, May 1 and May 8, from 7am til noon. Drop by the Waverly Farmers Market (E. 32nd St. and Barclay Ave.) for your weekly dose of fresh produce, dairy products, leftist literature *and* fantastic baked goods from the kitchens of Andy, Nicole & Brian, Laveta & Will, Pete & Derek, Gary, Ben, Jen & Bob and others. Muffins, breads, cookies, cakes, biscotti and many more items - with all proceeds going to support Moveable Feast.

Special dietary options will also be available! These can include gluten free, sugar free and vegan baked goods!

Orders can also be taken if we run out or you just want something special!

Bring your friends and pick up some good stuff to make your mouth happy at the farmer's market!

Ride for the Feast Chili Invitational!

Date: Saturday, April 17, 2010
Time: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Moveable Feast Headquarters, 901 N. Milton Street, Baltimore, MD 21203

Team Atomic and Team With A Purpose are hosting the First Annual Chili Invitational to benefit Moveable Feast.

Tickets are $10 per person (kids under 12 attend free) - we only have space for 100 people!

Enjoy a sampling of several chilis, corn bread, tortilla chips and other sides as well as desserts will be served. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.

Our judges will select the top 3 entrants and announce the winners at the end of the evening. (I hear that the judges are accepting bribes too!)

Come learn all about Moveable Feast while you enjoy some good food with good folks.
